The Alpensia Resort is a ski resort and a tourist attraction. It is located on the territory of the township of Daegwallyeong-myeon, in the county of Pyeongchang. Alpensia has 6 slopes for skiing and snowboarding, with runs up to 1.4 km (0.87 mi) long, for beginners and advanced skiers, and an area reserved for snowboarders. The resort is open year-round. The Alpensia Ski Jumping Stadium is located within the station and will be the location of the ski jumping events of the 2018 Winter Olympics. Alpensia will be the focus of the 2018 Cultural Olympiad, with a new, purpose-built concert hall within the resort.

How to go?
By bus from Incheon Airport
- Incheon Airport to Gimpo Airport to Alpensia: Buy ticket at ticket booth and go to Bus stop at Gate 9C. Bus operates 2 trips a day at 09:30 and 16:30. Cost is about 26,000Won. The journey takes about 3.5hrs, or
- Incheon Airport to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal to HwengGye (횡계) Intercity Bus Terminal: Buy ticket at ticket booth. From HwengGye Intercity Bus Terminal, take a taxi to Alpensia, or
- There are private companies offering bus services (e.g. Grace Travel)

Ski season typically starts from Nov and ends in Feb.

Tips
- There are private companies offering ski lessons and ski rentals (e.g. Ski Korea) which may be cheaper than Alpensia ski school
- Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Suites are more centrally located within Alpensia resort, as compared to Intercontinental
- Ocean Park admission ticket discount if you are Alpensia guest
- You do not need more than half a day at Ocean Park. Afternoon ticket is cheaper than a full day ticket. There is no Morning ticket
